If you haven't heard the news, our own Charlie Denby sang his farewell evensong on January 10th.  Charlie graduated from his successfull time as a Cathedral Chorister.  He was a strong musical leader and will be extremely missed as we continue to move forward.  Thank you so much for your service and dedication to music and the National Cathedral!!!  You are welcome to visit anytime!

Dear Parents and Choristers,

Please welcome Adrian Linden Giarusso, son of Allison Mondel and Richard Giarusso, born December 29^th, 2015 at 1:59 PM to our Choir family!!!  Mom and baby are doing great!

Because Mrs. Mondel will need to be focusing on her gorgeous and healthy baby boy for the next couple of months we have invited Mrs. Jaely Chamberlain Turner, Mrs. Turner, to our music staff!  Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Stuart will be sharing Mrs. Mondel’s responsibilities, so you may receive lesson reminders and emails from a different Voice Teacher.  If you would like to learn more about Mrs. Turner and her outstanding career you may visit her website at http://www.jaelysoprano.com/

Dear Parents and Singers,

I hope you enjoyed a relaxing holiday. I want to make you aware of voice juries, which will be coming up very quickly. Juries will take place on January 14 -16 according to the following schedule:

Thursday, January 14 – 3:45pm in the Choir Room: JUNIOR BOYS

Friday, January 15 – 2:45pm in the NCS Middle School Assembly room: SENIOR BOYS

Friday, January 15 – 4pm in the NCS Middle School Assembly Room: JUNIOR GIRLS

Saturday, January 16 – 5pm in the NCS Middle School Assembly Room: SENIOR GIRLS (with the exception of 12^th grade girls)

                *Please note that there is a performance by the Diderot Quartet at 7:30 pm on 1/16, which you are most welcome to attend after juries!

In these juries, you will sing two pieces from your voice lesson selections, one from memory and the other using music. An accompanist will be provided. Parents are welcome to attend! For those of you who have never done juries before, these are very low-key and WILL NOT BE GRADED. They are simply a chance for you to gain some experience in performing solo repertoire.  We are looking forward to hearing you!
