Marine Marathon Road Closures on Sunday

For those traveling in,through and around the area this coming Sunday, please plan ahead.

Please note that this coming Sunday is the annual Marine Corps Marathon. 

For your convenience, listed below is a schedule of road closures for the event. 

For those of you living in Virginia, plan your commute accordingly and may you get to us safely and in time for

your scheduled service.   

Marine Corps Marathon Road Closures

Below are the road closures for the 41st Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) and the MCM10K on Sunday, Oct. 30.

The MCM wheelchair/hand cycle division begins at 7:40 a.m.

on Route 110 in Arlington, VA. The MCM will start at 7:55 a.m. The MCM10K starts at 9:15 a.m. Both events start in finish in Arlington, VA.

Only the streets below are affected on Marathon Day. Local jurisdictions will reopen the roads as soon as event course operations cease, with the MCM course officially closing by 3:10 p.m.

3:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. -- North Meade Street from Marshall Drive to Lynn Street

3:30 a.m.–6 p.m. -- Route 110 from I-66 to U.S. Highway 1

3:30 a.m.–6 p.m. -- Wilson Boulevard from North Nash Street to Route 110

3:30 a.m.–6 p.m. -- Lynn Street from North Meade Street to Lee Highway

3:30 a.m.–6 p.m. -- Fort Myer Drive from North Meade Street to Lee Highway
